Description
The Sm.OIL interface probe has the same functionality as our H.OIL interface probe. This compact unit comes in a single tape length only (20m/60 ft), is portable and is designed for easy transport. The premium padded carrying case is included to protect your precision instrument from the elements.
The Sm.OIL is used to measure the interface level between two liquids in the same tank, vessel, piezometer or aquifer. The different density of two liquids means that the low-density non-conductive product (LNAPL) will float at the very top. Denser products will tend to sink (DNAPL), creating a layer.
The high-strength steel-core tape with Kynar coating, resistant to hydrocarbons, is able to withstand hydrocarbons, solvents and other aggressive contaminants. CSA intrinsically safe certification makes the H.OIL ideal for use in hazardous environments in the oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical industries.
- Certified – Intrinsically safe to CSA and ANSI / UL standards, class 9098-1 or 9098-81 (USA) for hazardous locations and class I groups A, B, C and D
- Detects LNAPL and DNAPL
- Able to measure product layers as thin as 1 mm (1/200 ft)
- Grounding Lead
- Electronic module (IP65) – Automatic shut-off after 10 minutes, removable for easy cleaning and servicing. Circuits and components are potted to protect them from moisture and dust ingress
- Probe (IP68) – pressure / depth rated *, field-replaceable, 19mm (0.74″)
- Steel tape: high-strength steel, polyethylene-coated, highly break-resistant, stretch-resistant and permanently legible – markings in metric (mm) or engineering (1/100′) scale
- Steel tape complies with ASME B89.1.7-2009 and MIL-STD-45662A, FED GGG-T-106F and EEC Class II certification
- Padded carrying case: to protect your precision water level meter from the elements
- Handle: built-in, for resting the meter on the piezometer head, allowing hands-free positioning
