Absorbent Booms

At Soilutions we manufacture and distribute booms for the containment and absorption of petroleum-derived hydrocarbons. Their composition ensures high retention and storage volumes for the absorbed hydrocarbon. They are hydrophobic, meaning they do not absorb water. Thanks to their buoyancy, they are highly effective in controlling and recovering small and large hydrocarbon spills on the water surface (seas, lakes, reservoirs, rivers).

They can be interconnected, overlapping by 10 – 15 cm between one boom and the next, with no risk of leakage, so that as many linear metres as necessary can be covered.

Two supply formats, depending on diameter:

• 20 CM DIAMETER BOOMS.

Most common application: relatively large spills on fairly extensive water surfaces such as seas, ports, rivers, estuaries, lakes, reservoirs, etc.

Supplied in boxes containing 10 linear metres of boom:

– 2 booms of 5 linear metres x 20 cm diameter.

• 8 CM DIAMETER BOOMS.

Most common application: small spills on limited water surfaces such as ponds, brooks, gullies, channels, small marinas or fishing harbours, streams, etc.

Supplied in boxes of 4, 8, 12 or 24 units. Various lengths.

– Hydrophobic absorbent boom 8cm x 3m. 1 box = 4 units.

– Hydrophobic absorbent boom 8cm x 3m. 1 box = 8 units.

– Hydrophobic absorbent boom 8cm x 1.20m. 1 box = 12 units.

– Hydrophobic absorbent boom 8cm x 1.05m. 1 box = 24 units.
