OilSorber

The Oil Sorbers made by Soilutions are small adsorbent socks for petroleum-derived hydrocarbons. Their small size makes them highly versatile in terms of possible applications. They can be hung in boreholes, or installed as small containment / adsorption barriers in areas where hydrocarbons accumulate, such as inspection chambers, pipework, manholes, gullies, etc.

They are made from a high-efficiency hydrophobic adsorbent, inside a strong perforated Vlieseline mesh that prevents tearing during placement and lets the hydrocarbon through so that it is adsorbed.

Dimensions: 50 cm long x 4 cm in diameter. It can adsorb up to 1.2 litres of hydrocarbon.

One end has a tie or hook to make placement easier.

Three supply formats are available:

• Basic OIL SORBER. Economical, simple but robust. Ideal for placement in piezometers or infrastructure in good condition. Sold in boxes of 12 units.
• OIL SORBER with polypropylene mesh. This is the basic Oil Sorber surrounded by a tubular polypropylene mesh that gives it greater rigidity and protection against tearing. Sold in boxes of 12 units.
• OIL SORBER with stainless steel filter cylinder. Ideal for long-term Oil Sorber installations. It is a stainless steel cylinder that is easy to wash and reuse. Maximum level of protection and durability. In addition, compared with the PP mesh, the use of single-use plastics is reduced. Sold in boxes of 6 units.
