Description
The Dipper-Temp temperature meter is ideal for profiling temperature and static water levels in piezometers, wells, springs, lakes and rivers. Temperature can alter the physical and chemical properties of water and must be taken into account when determining increased levels of biological activity and water chemistry. Groundwater temperature measurements have also taken on new significance as geothermal energy becomes more important for domestic heating and cooling. The premium padded carrying case is included to protect your precision instrument from the elements.
The dipper-Temp is available with 2 different tape coatings:
- The heat-resistant Kynar-coated measuring tape on the dipper-Temp-110 allows
temperature profiling up to 110 ° C and is able to withstand hydrocarbons, solvents and other
aggressive contaminants. - The polyethylene-coated measuring tape on the dipper-Temp-80 allows lower
temperature profiling up to 80 ° C. The markings are beneath the jacket for long-term
legibility.
- Electronic module (IP65): readings displayed in degrees Celsius (0˚-110˚) on a high-contrast digital LCD screen that makes it highly visible in the field; can be removed for easy cleaning and servicing
- Audio on / off control

The electric reel is a great winding tool for longer tape lengths, from 600 m/2000′ up to 1100m/3500′. The power supply is 12 V DC, which can be taken from the standard 12 V DC system in most vehicles. The electric reel makes the job of lowering and raising longer tape lengths into and out of the well easier. A hand crank is included in case of power failure.
