Description

The little dipper2 is a compact water level meter designed for easy portability, used to measure static and drawdown head levels in piezometers and boreholes. It comes with a padded case, but is small enough to fit in a backpack.

To meet our customers' needs, we have added four new tape lengths: 15m/50ft, 30m/100ft to the standard 22m/75 ft. With these additional lengths, the little dipper2 can reach new depths while keeping its compact size.

Static mode is used to measure water depth in piezometers, boreholes and standpipes. DrawDown mode is used to measure the drop in water levels during purging, piezometer development and for low-flow sampling, helping to protect your pump from damage caused by running dry.

Electronic module (IP65) – mode switch for static and drawdown levels, removable for easy cleaning and maintenance. Circuits and components are potted to protect them from moisture and dust ingress.
Sensitivity switch: to adjust for false alarms caused by the cascade effect
Connector: to prevent damage to the tape, the probe is sacrificed at the joint if it becomes stuck in the piezometer
Probe (IP68) – 5/8″, full pressure / depth rated *, with no holes or gaps for contaminants to build up, field-replaceable with the optional casing or depth probes
Tape – polyethylene, Kevlar-reinforced – markings in metric (mm) or engineering (1/100′) scale
Carrying case: to protect your precision water level meter from the elements
Handle: built-in, for resting the meter on the piezometer head, allowing hands-free positioning
Guide: built-in, to protect the tape from sharp edges on the piezometer casing
