Efficiency tests on Soil Vapour Extraction (SVE) systems make it possible to assess the actual performance of the system and optimise its operation in the remediation of land contaminated by volatile compounds. During these tests, parameters such as the extraction flow rate, the vapour-phase contaminant concentration and the vacuum distribution in the ground are analysed, which helps to identify subsurface limitations and improve both the design and the operation of the system.
Likewise, interpreting how the data evolve over time and any rebound effects is key to estimating the effectiveness of the treatment and the optimum duration of operation. These tests provide a sound technical basis for decision-making and for validating the remediation system.
At SOILUTIONS we have extensive experience in carrying out this type of test in a range of geological settings. After each campaign, we prepare a technical note containing the data measured and collected in the field, including a detailed assessment and specific conclusions for each extraction point tested. This approach provides our clients with clear, rigorous information focused on optimising their projects.
