Soil gas probes tailored to each monitoring network
At SOILUTIONS we install vapour probes (soil gas probes) for soil gas quality monitoring networks, combining the drilling method, sampling device and surface finish best suited to each site. More information on each drilling method at www.soilutions.es.
Drilling method
- Hand auger drilling, for shallow depths and restricted access.
- HILTI TE70 electric rotary hammer with a 40 mm bit.
- TEC10 penetrometer, using Direct Push technology.
Sampling device
We supply and install five types of our own probes, made of AISI 316 stainless steel mesh:
- SOIL GAS FILTER-S — 70 x 21 mm
- SOIL GAS FILTER-M — 150 x 25 mm
- SOIL GAS FILTER-L — 300 x 25 mm
- Nesty Probe INOX 1″ — 150 mm
- Nesty Probe INOX 1/2″ — 150 mm
We also install the sampling device supplied by the client, or slotted piezometer pipe where the project requires it.
Surface finish
- Indoor: watertight threaded fitting for quick connection of the sampling train, with a 1 mm thick, 70 mm diameter stainless steel cover plate.
- Outdoor: PCJ-type dichromate-plated well chamber, 115 or 127 mm in diameter, recommended for exposure to the weather and surface traffic.
Versatility
We install in both paved and unpaved areas, and can place several independent probes at different depths within the same borehole, for multi-level monitoring of soil gas quality at a single point.
