Direct Push methods also allow remediation reagents (ISCO, ISCR, BIS techniques, etc.) to be injected at the desired location and depth interval. SOILUTIONS has all the equipment needed to successfully carry out pressure injections, both top-down (top to bottom) and bottom-up (bottom to top), depending on the lithological characteristics of the site. We have the special rods and the pressure-activated injection tip made by GEOPROBE, which is designed to optimise injection times while offering the highest level of safety, as it features a non-return system that prevents ‘backflow’, i.e. pressurised return flow, thus avoiding incidents at the surface.
Pressure pumping equipment must withstand the chemical aggressiveness of the reagents involved and the high injection pressures. The pumps, pipework and control and regulation instruments that SOILUTIONS provides for DPI (Direct Push Injections) projects meet these requirements.
SOILUTIONS has already successfully carried out remediation projects at complex sites where reagents from different techniques have been injected: ISCO, ISCR, Soil washing or washing with biocompatible surfactants. In this type of injection service, it is essential to have the most suitable personal protective equipment (PPE), given the hazardous nature of the reagents involved. SOILUTIONS prioritises safety in this type of injection and is familiar with, and has, all the most appropriate protective equipment.
